The Collection Registrar supports the care and display of one of the world’s greatest collections of historic paintings, ensuring that its stories can be shared with everyone. The post plays a vital role in achieving the Gallery’s mission: to unlock art for all, sparking ideas and imagination.
The Collection Registrar will be someone who cares deeply about the visual arts and cultural heritage and is passionate about ensuring both the preservation and accessibility of an historic collection.
They will have specialist knowledge of loan procedures and collection management and will be comfortable with both practical and administrative tasks. They will be a team-player who is able to support others, capable of working independently and leading projects when required. As part of a small team, they will thrive in a varied and hands-on environment, where one day might be spent organising a Gallery rehang, and the next might be arranging a loan to an international museum.
