Co-teacher / co-conductor in pop and rock choir (Bristol)

Riff Raff Choir

Job Summary

Freelance position. £90-£130 (depending on experience) per weekly two hour rehearsal / concert.

Job Description

Riff Raff Choir is seeking two candidates to co-teach and co-conduct one rehearsal night (with the possibility of increasing to two rehearsal nights at a future date) from the week commencing 12th January 2026 or possibly sooner.

Riff Raff is a fun and friendly pop and rock choir for adults with evening rehearsal groups, Monday to Thursday, 7.30-9.30pm, in different locations around Bristol. Riff Raff will be starting a new group, most likely in North Bristol soon.

Successful candidates will firstly spend a term or two teaching with an existing Riff Raff teacher (on Monday or Tuesday evenings) to learn the style of teaching and format of the rehearsals. Once trained, they will teach regularly in the same location on the same night, which is likely to be the new group on Thursday, with another teacher (this may be an existing teacher or another new teacher).

There are three 10 week terms per year, set within school term time, with a break at half-term. There is a formal concert at the end of each term and a couple of informal performances during each term on weekends.

The rate of pay per rehearsal session / concert, which includes preparation time and any additional meetings, ranges from £90-£130 depending on experience.
