At The Library
Job Summary
Job Description
Our Advisory Board is a group of people who act in a regular, advisory capacity and act as advocates for our work. The Advisory Board does not have any statutory duties.
Board Members offer expertise, supportive challenge and fresh thinking to ensure we meet the ambitions set out in our plans: that our work is ambitious, inclusive, ethical, diverse and sustainable.
Board Members will help the Directors to steer strategy, ensure that robust
reporting and accountability is in place and that good, consistent relationships with all funders and stakeholders are maintained.
We are open to applications from people from all walks of life. You do not need to come from an arts, culture or libraries background
You do not need to have had previous Board experience. Support, training and induction will be provided to ensure participation is accessible to all.
We are open to expressions of interest from anyone who feels they have something relevant to offer to what we do through work or lived experience.
Our Chair Paul Kelly will be leaving in March and we’re looking for a member specifically who will join as a Co-Chair alongside one other to support us in our overall strategic direction, to implement our values, whilst delivering our NPO commitments.
Your responsibilities would include shaping agendas, being able to represent At The Library in conversations with Arts Council and at events. The role of the Chair requires up to 3 additional days per year in meetings and work with the core team.
We are open to expressions of interest from anyone who feels they have something relevant to offer what we do through work or lived experience.
