Job Description

The London Music Fund is seeking an exceptional Chief Executive to lead the next stage of its growth and impact. Since 2011, this substantial and dynamic charity has transformed the lives of thousands of young Londoners by providing high-quality music education, performance and progression opportunities. Working in partnership with schools, Music Hubs, cultural institutions and leading musicians, the Fund has become recognised as a catalyst for excellence, inclusion and opportunity through music.

Reporting to the Chair and Board of Trustees, the Chief Executive will provide inspirational leadership to a small, dedicated team and a valued network of volunteers, ensuring the effective delivery of programmes and partnerships across the capital and beyond, They will lead on strategic development, income generation and financial stewardship, building relationships with supporters across the public, private and philanthropic sectors to sustain and grow the Fund’s reach. They will also have personal involvement in day-to-day delivery.

We are seeking a respected leader with strong strategic and organisational skills, proven fundraising and partnership experience, and a deep personal commitment to the power of music in young people’s lives. Job Requirements

The Chief Executive will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight to ensure the London Music Fund continues to deliver exceptional outcomes for young people across the capital.

Reporting to the Board of 12 Trustees, the Chief Executive will be the public face of the organisation, leading on programme development, business planning, advocacy, fundraising, and partnerships. They will also play a hands-on role, inspiring a small, dedicated team of three full-time equivalent members and working closely with funders, partners and volunteers to drive excellence, inclusivity and sustainability in music training and education across London and beyond.
