Background –
CT20 Projects CIC is an Arts Council England’s National Portfolio Organisation and a female-led, neuro-diverse and PoC-led non-profit arts organisation based in Folkestone (the South-east coast of England). We deliver high-impact cultural & heritage activities to empower those living at the margins of society. About the Role –
We are recruiting voluntary non-executive board members and a potential co-chair to help convene and steer our Oversight & Advisory board members at our quarterly board meetings. As a member of our board, you will gain an insight to how the arts and cultural industries in the UK work. We are looking for people from all backgrounds who are passionate about the arts and its potential to change people’s lives to join our board.
We would love to attract both experienced candidates who are familiar with the Arts Council England’s governance requirements with a good knowledge of its Let’s Create policies, or have experiences of being on the board of a National Portfolio Organisation would be ideal. BUT we also seek passionate, engaged and willing-to-learn people who may be at the start of their creative careers and would benefit from find out just how the arts and creative industries work – from the inside.
This voluntary advisory role will probably take up to half a day of your time (max), once every 3 months, but you will be learning about the UK arts industry and be on an exciting journey with us! You will also be invited to events, Private Views and other elements – all free.
