UK Tour with some Ireland dates

Join the Heelers in their live theatre show made just for you, featuring brilliantly created puppets, this is Bluey as you’ve never seen it before, brought to real life. The play features an original story by Bluey creator Joe Brumm, new music by award-winning Bluey composer Joff Bush and brilliantly crafted life-size puppets and sets.

Salary: £750 (inclusive of 14.95 hours at x1.5 or 11.21 hours x2 overtime) performing weeks

Contract: Fixed-term contract. Please note, this is a non-union contract.

Holiday: Equivalent to 32 days paid holiday per annum.

End date: Sunday 30th August 2026

Personal Attributes: We are looking for applicants with demonstrable professional experience working in a similar role on a UK tour. The role requires someone who has exceptional people skills, strong communication and organisational skills, ability to lead and manage a team, a positive attitude and a strong aptitude for pastoral care.

Job Requirements

  • Demonstrable professional experience as Tech Swing on a production of a similar scale on tour/West End
  • Previous experience as a Sound No 2/Sound No 3, including fitting and trouble-shooting radio mics
  • Previous followspotting experience (robo spot preferable but not essential)
  • Previous experience working on musicals or opera, with some score-reading ability
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with excellent attention to detail
  • The ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • A calm and proactive approach to technical troubleshooting
  • A strong understanding of comic timing
  • Comfortable working with ladders
  • The ability to work well with actors and creative teams
  • The ability to work under pressure and effectively prioritize
  • Knowledge of SOLT/BECTU and Equity union agreements
  • Awareness of current Health & Safety legislation including COSHH
