Trafalgar Entertainment are recruiting for a number of backstage roles to join the upcoming production of Death Note at the Barbican Centre. The ideal candidates will have experience of large-scale new musical productions.

Job Description

Following a successful introduction to the UK audience, HoriPro and Trafalgar Entertainment bring Death Note to the Barbican Centre this summer. Based on the globally successful Japanese manga series written by Tsunami Ohba and Takeshi Obata.

Set in a contemporary Tokyo, Death Note is a fascinating tale of life, death, morality, and justice. With book by Ivan Menchell (Bonnie & Clyde), score by Frank Wildhorn (Jekyll & Hyde, Bonnie & Clyde) and lyrics by Jack Murphy (Civil War).

Trafalgar Entertainment are seeking applications for the following roles:

  • Stage Manager
  • Assistant Stage Manager (Technical)
  • Head of Wardrobe
  • Head of Wigs, Hair and Make-Up
  • Head of Lighting and Video
  • Head of Sound
  • Head of Automation

Key dates

Rehearsals in London from Monday 15 June 2026
Technical rehearsals from Monday 20 July 2026
Performances from July – September 2026

For these roles, you must be in possession of a valid UK passport and/or proof of the right to work in the UK.
