Job Description
The Star Project is looking for an organised, enthusiastic, and proactive Assistant Manager to support the day-to-day running of our growing theatre school.
This flexible hybrid role begins at 5 hours per week and includes supporting administration, parental communication, enrolments, social media, recruitment, project organisation, and the continued growth of the business alongside the Company Manager.
The role includes flexible working hours, with some work completed remotely and some attendance required at rehearsals, productions, meetings, and events where needed.
Key responsibilities include:
Supporting the day-to-day running of the business
Assisting with administration and organisation
Managing emails and parental communication
Supporting student enrolments and trials
Assisting Project Leaders and Team Members
Supporting social media and promotional content
Supporting productions, rehearsals, workshops, and events
Helping maintain excellent customer service standards
Supporting business growth and recruitment
We are looking for someone who is:
Organised, reliable, and proactive
Confident using initiative and working independently
Passionate about performing arts and theatre education
Confident using emails, Google Drive, Dropbox, Microsoft Office, and social media
Professional, enthusiastic, and eager to learn and grow within the company
Previous administration experience is desirable but not essential for the right candidate.
This is a self-employed/freelance role starting at £12.71 per hour, with opportunities for progression, increased responsibility, and additional hours. Additional show day pay would apply.
