Job Description

Ealing Council is working hard to increase access to cultural opportunities and events for our residents and workers as a commitment in our cultural manifesto. We are looking for a senior culture officer with demonstrable experience of writing arts and heritage bids and whom understands these funding sectors to help us achieve this. Developing local heritage projects is an important part of the role so experience in this area would be desirable too.

We aim to encourage and support more cultural engagement across our seven towns, grow our cultural offer in the borough as well as promoting cultural opportunities and careers for residents whilst supporting our amazing creative communities.

We are looking for someone with excellent social media, website and written skills plus established networks across the sector in London. A culture enthusiast who loves being a team player and can support the head of culture and libraries and well as working independently to develop key relationships and projects as directed.

Job Requirements

  • Manage all administration tasks and support projects being developed by the Culture service.
  • Develop and implement the Arts & Culture service’s social media posts and developing the Ealing Culture website project pages, encouraging more listings and identifying news stories.
  • Researching and optimising all arts and health/wellbeing related opportunities and to be the lead for all ensuing programmes
  • Searching out grants and funding opportunities and to write funding applications, working with the Community Events Producer where relevant.
  • Develop, implement and oversee efficient project management systems for the various existing and new projects of the Arts & Culture service
  • Support the Head of Culture & Libraires in delivering and coordinating meetings, presentations, conferences and projects of the service. This may include projects relating to festivals & events, heritage, arts and health, marketing & communication including website and social media administration.
