Job Summary

Artist Angela de la Cruz is looking for a part-time Studio Manager

Job Description

We are a small but close team so this person must be a team player, as well as able to take initiative independently. Everyone here is active in their own right in the art world, so it is important that you are able to discuss and contribute to the studio community. A good sense of humour is also a must!

A good knowledge of contemporary art and galleries in the UK and internationally is essential. Ideally, the candidate would have experience working in art galleries, art institutions, and/or artists’ studios. Good knowledge of Spanish and another European language is desirable. This role suits somebody who is willing to enhance their network in the art world and would like to develop a career as a curator or work in art galleries.

The expected working hours are 4 days a week, 10 – 5 pm

Job Requirements

  • Minimum MA qualification in a relevant subject (no current students please);
  • Good knowledge of the international and national contemporary art scene (London especially);
  • Must be able to legally live and work in the UK;
  • Excellent level of spoken and written English;
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to multitask;
  • Good knowledge of Angela de la Cruz’s work;
  • Good understanding/experience in secretarial work, such as drafting emails, minutes-taking, scheduling meetings and agenda planning;
  • Able to work collaboratively and collectively, as part of a team;
  • Able to communicate effectively to manage a team of part-time colleagues and Angela’s internal and external communication.
  • Reliable, punctual and well-presented;
  • Ability to work to exceptional standards;
  • High level of computer literacy on Mac (Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite);
  • Able to travel for international exhibitions and represent Angela in social-professional events.
