Job Summary

OPEN CALL: We are seeking Arabic-speaking performers across the gender spectrum for a paid, durational spoken-word performance in London this September. We will be hiring multiple performers for this project.

Job Description

The performance is by an established artist, presented and produced by A/POLITICAL in London.

The performance will take place in London over a period of approximately seven or eight days, between September 21 and September 28, 2026. Performers will work in pairs in rotating shifts for a maximum of 7 hours per day. There will be both day and night shifts. A brief interview will be conducted prior to the final selection of participants followed by a rehearsal in the days leading up to the performance, led by Maricel Alvarez, the co-curator.

The work will be paid in accordance with the rates suggested by the Independent Theatre Council.

Job Requirements

– Applicants must be 18+ years of age.
– Knowledge of Arabic pronunciation.
– Prior stage or performing experience.
– Full availability between 21 September and 28 September (performance dates).
– Availability between 17 September and 21 September (times TBD) for rehearsals with the artist prior to the performance.
