Job Summary

Apollo Art Auctions is an established auction house based in central London (W1W), seeking a proactive and hands-on Antiques Packing and Customer Support Supervisor to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone with experience in logistics, shipping, and client coordination.

Job Description

The successful candidate will oversee the packing, shipping, and dispatch of antiquities sold at auction, while supervising customer communication related to orders and deliveries.

This is a hands-on supervisory role requiring both practical involvement and oversight of logistics processes. The role includes packing, shipping, resolving shipping issues, such as delays and customs holds, and ensuring all items are handled, documented, and delivered efficiently.

You will act as a key link between internal teams, clients, and external shipping partners, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

A genuine interest in art and history and previous experience from an auction house is a big plus for this position. We are looking for a trustworthy, multitasking and proactive person.

Job Requirements

– Experience in logistics, shipping, or warehouse supervision
– Experience handling fragile or high-value items (antiques or fine art preferred)
– Strong understanding of international shipping and customs procedures
– Ability to troubleshoot and resolve shipping issues efficiently
– Excellent organisational and multitasking skills
– Strong communication and customer service skills
– Good computer literacy (inventory systems, documentation, email communication)
– Physically capable of handling objects of varying sizes and weights
– Previous experience in an auction house is highly desirable
– Excellent English and communication skills
– Additional languages are highly desirable
– Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines
– Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
