FOOTLIGHTS SALE is looking for a new Acting Teacher!

ACTING TEACHER – Your Role

Thursday Evenings – 5:30pm-8pm @ Sale High School

Friday Evenings – 6:30pm-8:00pm @ Sale Moor Community Centre

Saturday mornings – 9:45am – 1:00pm @ Sale High School

We are seeking a reliable, enthusiastic Acting Teacher to deliver engaging classes to children and young people ages 7-16. Teachers must be fully committed to the full 12-week term, ensuring consistency for students and productions. The above hours may be split between multiple candidates.

Key Responsibilities

– Plan and deliver structured, engaging acting classes
– Teach performance skills including characterisation, voice, and improvisation
– Rehearse students for showcases and full scale productions
– Create a positive, supportive, and professional environment
– Communicate effectively with the Footlights team

Essential Requirements

– Experience teaching or working with young people in performing arts
– Strong acting and performance background, musical theatre experience preferred
– Excellent reliability, punctuality, and professionalism
– Ability to commit to the full 12-week term and attend all scheduled sessions
– Strong classroom management and communication skills

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications

Enhanced DBS check
At least 1 year experience
Minimum education level – BTEC, Level 3, A Levels
