Job Summary

Dante or Die is looking for a Trainee Director to join our InSites Training Programme. This position is for an early-career Producer. The Trainee Producer will join our team for our upcoming site-based theatre tour. The ideal candidate will be early in their career and passionate about theatre.

Job Description

Role: Trainee Director

Duration: 11 weeks made up of: 1.5 weeks prep, (7.5 days over Nov-Dec), Full time from January – March 2027 and a week in April: 2 weeks rehearsals, 7 week run & 0.5 week debrief.

Fee: £6,050 (11 weeks @ £550 per week)

Starting Date: November 2026

We adhere to ITC rules regarding working hours on productions – daily schedules will change between pre-production (where it will usually be 10am – 6pm) and when the production is live – so as to accommodate performance times.

Legacy Meetings: Following the end of your contract you will have access to three legacy one to one follow up meetings with your line manager available across April-August 2027

Reporting To: Daphna Attias, Dante or Die’s Co-Artistic Director and Director for the production.

Location: We have a base in Central London that we operate from but support working from home arrangements during non-rehearsal/production periods. The role will require travelling nationally to support the production’s tour.

Benefits:

Travel Allowance: An allowance of £40 per day towards train fare for days in London is offered. Travel will be fully covered for work required in Brighton, Edinburgh and Plymouth as part of the tour.

Accommodation: Will be provided when working on the show outside of London

Per Diems / Expenses Allowance: When overnight accommodation is required the company will pay £25 per day to be used towards meals.
