Bristol Academy of Drama is a thriving independent drama school, established in 2017. We’re passionate about giving children and young people a place to be creative, build confidence, make friends and experience the excitement of creating and performing brilliant theatre.
We’re looking for an energetic, creative and inspirational Drama Facilitator to join our friendly team from December.
Our immediate regular requirement is a three-hour Saturday afternoon session during term time, alongside additional work throughout the year.
The role includes:
Leading weekly drama classes
Covering other classes across Bristol when required (for all age ranges including adults)
Rehearsing students for productions and showcases
Working on our main annual show
Leading full-day drama workshops
Please note: Applicants must have some availability to work during school holidays, when we run workshops and other drama activities. We therefore cannot consider applicants who are only available for the regular Saturday classes.
We particularly need someone available to lead a two-day workshop during the December school holidays (Mon 21st and Tues 22nd)
The role also includes at least one main show weekend per academic year and two one-day showcases.
Teaching Rates: £25 per hour for weekly classes and a minimum of £150 per full day for workshops and show days.
If you love inspiring young people through drama and want to become part of a creative, supportive and growing independent drama school, we’d love to hear from you!
