Job Summary

We’re looking for a warm, friendly and enthusiastic Front of House Assistant to join our vibrant theatre school team!

Job Description

This role is all about being the friendly face at the front door – making sure every child and parent who walks through our doors feels welcomed, comfortable and excited to be with us. A big part of the role will be looking out for new students and families, making sure they know where to go, helping them settle in and registering them when they arrive. We want someone who naturally notices the person standing on their own or looking a little unsure and thinks, “I’ll go and make them feel welcome.”

Why join us?
We’re a thriving theatre school with a happy, passionate and supportive team who genuinely care about the experience we create for our students and their families. You’ll be joining a team where energy, enthusiasm and kindness matter, and where everyone plays a part in making our theatre school a brilliant place to be. If you’re someone who loves people, loves children and would enjoy being the friendly face that welcomes our students through the door, we’d love to hear from you!

Job Requirements

The person we’re looking for:
We’re looking for someone who is naturally warm, approachable and brilliant with people. Someone who can get down on a four-year-old’s level, have a giggle and make them feel instantly at ease – but who can also chat confidently with a 12-year-old and make them feel equally seen and welcomed.
You’ll need to be:
Warm, friendly and approachable
Great with children of different ages
Confident communicating with both children and adults
Naturally positive and enthusiastic
Organised and efficient
Observant and proactive – someone who notices what needs doing without always being asked
Reliable and responsible
A real team player
Someone who enjoys being part of a fun, energetic and vibrant environment
Experience working with children is preferred, as is customer service experience, but personality is hugely important to us. You don’t need to be a performer – but you do need to bring a little bit of energy, warmth and fun to the role!

How to Apply

Please email [email protected] and request an application form. The application deadline is 9am Tuesday 6th October, and interviews will be held on zoom on Tuesday 13th and Thursday 17th October. The role includes free on-site parking, holiday pay and Saturday term time teaching only.

Razzamataz Theatre Schools are committed to safeguarding children and young people. All post holders are subject to appropriate vetting procedures and a satisfactory “Disclosure and Barring Service Enhanced check”. Pay is £13.50 per hour.
