Programme & Relationship Manager (Wales & South West)

Future Talent is growing, and we’re excited to be investing further in our work across Wales and the South West.

We’re looking for a Programme & Relationship Manager (Wales & South West England) to join our team and strengthen the support and opportunities we offer to talented young musicians from low-income backgrounds.

This is a new regional role, created as part of our ongoing growth. You’ll build relationships with young musicians and their families, schools, music organisations and other partners, helping us develop a more connected and responsive programme across the region.

You’ll provide guidance and mentoring support, organise exciting performance, recording and development opportunities, and connect young musicians with inspiring professional musicians and mentors. You’ll also manage financial awards and help ensure our support has a meaningful impact on each musician’s development.

A key part of the role will be expanding our regional network and reaching talented young musicians who may not currently know about Future Talent or be accessing our opportunities. We’re particularly keen to build stronger connections with underrepresented communities and a broad range of musical genres, instruments and traditions.

We’re looking for a practising musician with experience of working with children and young people, excellent communication and organisational skills, and the confidence to build relationships across the music and education sectors. An established network across Wales and/or the South West would be highly valuable.

This is a permanent, part-time (0.6 FTE) role, with a salary of £28,000-£32,000 pro rata, dependent on experience. The role is home-based within Wales or the South West, with online team working and occasional travel, including to London.
