We are seeking an exceptional leader to join our dynamic team. You will work collaboratively alongside the Creative Director, leading Kantos’ visionary output.

Job Description

In 2026, Kantos celebrated 10 years of groundbreaking choral performance. This is an
opportunity to guide Kantos into its next chapter of growth, impact and innovation:
– You will have joint responsibility with the Creative Director for organisational leadership, financial sustainability, and the development and delivery of our ambitious programmes.
– You will have joint responsibility to the Board alongside the Creative Director.
– You will work closely with the Creative Director to develop new ideas and build longer term strategic plans.
– You will line manage the Communications and Audience Officer (Freelance) to oversee marketing output.
– You will line manage and work closely with the Development Consultant (Freelance) to develop and oversee annual and longer-term financial plans, alongside the Creative Director.

Job Requirements

A passion for classical music and a drive to amplify Kantos’ ethos and ambitions. Knowledge of the UK arts sector, especially in the North of England. Proven experience in senior arts management, executive leadership or cultural administration. Proven experience in arts administration, production management, and/or event planning. Strong financial management skills, including budget planning and oversight. Experience managing contracts and negotiating fees. Outstanding organisational, administrative and planning skills with exceptional attention to detail. Strong interpersonal, communication and relationship-building abilities. Competent IT and administrative skills. Ability to work both independently and lead a team. A calm, solutions-focused approach to working under pressure. A commitment to safeguarding and Health & Safety best practice. A commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion. Ability to travel for regular in-person attendance in Manchester and on tour.
