Central Production Unit 1FTE, 35 hours per week Permanent Salary: £37,880 – £43,700 per annum

Job Description

We are: looking for a skilled, collaborative Production Tutor (Costume) to join the Conservatoire’s Production Department within the School of Stage & Screen.

This is a key role supporting both the delivery of high-quality productions and the student learning experience. You will work closely with academic and technical teams to support students throughout the production process-bringing specialist costume expertise to both teaching and production delivery, ensuring excellent outcomes in a creative learning environment.

You will: play an integral role in tutoring and mentoring students across their production learning journey-supporting teaching activity, delivering practical guidance, and helping students achieve defined learning outcomes.

You’ll bring your specialist craft expertise to production planning and delivery, solving technical challenges, supporting designers, and ensuring work is completed to a high standard within agreed timescales and budgets.

You should: bring significant professional costume or production craft experience, with strong knowledge of industry practices, production processes, and relevant equipment.

Be confident working collaboratively with academic, creative, and technical colleagues, with excellent communication skills and a commitment to supporting student development.
