Job Summary

Contemporary Ritual Theatre (CRT) seeks a producer for our second project, WYRD SISTER, a new play by writer-director Beau Hopkins. This is an opportunity not only to realise a work of new writing but also to contribute to the development of an exciting new theatre company.

Job Description

As a producer, you will:

– lead project management
– ensure that all relevant tasks are completed to deadline so that the project is delivered on schedule
– oversee contracts, budget, payments and financial record-keeping
– oversee marketing
– liaise with the creative team
– liaise with our venues
– co-ordinate travel, accommodation and logistics

ABOUT WYRD SISTER

Meet Angharad, a charismatic nomad and centuries-old witch.

Wandering barefoot over East Anglia, she drags behind her a wheelie bag filled with human heads – trophies she’s collected from lovers, friends and enemies – and passes the years ritually re-enacting all her most cherished memories.

But Angharad is not alone. No matter where she goes, she is always pursued by her ‘Shadow’, a terrifying creature intent upon exposing her darkest secrets.

Accompanied by live drumming, and blending slapstick, mime and shamanic dance, WYRD SISTER is a haunting modern folk tale of the burdens of survival.

Rehearsal and performances:

– A 3 week rehearsal process in Great Yarmouth in October 2026, at the Drill House, home of our primary partner Out There Arts, a national centre for outdoor arts and circus.
– 4 performances at the Drill House in Great Yarmouth (29 Oct – 1 Nov 2026).
– 1 performance at the New Wolsey Theatre in Ipswich (3 Nov).
– At least 5 performances in London in April 2027. These will be site-specific, taking place in a derelict non-traditional space, to be delivered in partnership with Riverside Studios.
– A UK tour is planned for 2027-2028.

PRACTICALITIES

The producer role is paid at £200-£250 per day, depending on experience, and will involve at least 15 days of work, to be spread over the life of the project.

Project start date: 15 August 2026
Project end date: 1 May 2027
Number of days: 15
