Job Summary
Job Description
As a Lead Tutor, you will deliver structured after-school animation sessions for Key Stage 2 pupils using our lesson plans, equipment and curriculum.
You’ll guide children through creating their own animated films while encouraging creativity, teamwork, problem-solving and confidence in a fun and supportive environment.
Rate: £60 per lesson
Each lesson is 1.5hrs (3.30pm – 5.00pm)
3-5 days available (4.5hrs – 7.5hrs per week)
Contracts last 3-4 months
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging stop-motion animation lessons.
Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment.
Set up, maintain and pack away equipment.
Encourage participation and support every child’s creative development.
Follow safeguarding, health and safety and school procedures.
Complete simple session administration and upload pupils’ work when required.
Represent The London Animation Project professionally at all times.

Essential Requirements
Passion for working with children.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Reliable, professional and punctual.
Ability to confidently lead groups of primary-aged children.
Enhanced DBS Certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
Right to work in the UK.
Desirable
Experience working with children.
Background in animation, film, photography, art, media or education.
Workshop or teaching experience.
Knowledge of stop-motion animation (training provided).

Job Requirements
Be eligible to work in the UK.
Be registered as self-employed (or be willing to register before commencing work).
Hold, or be willing to obtain, an Enhanced DBS Certificate for working with children and subscribe to the DBS Update Service where required.
Provide two satisfactory professional references.
Complete safeguarding training (or be willing to complete training before delivering sessions).
Hold, or be willing to obtain, Paediatric First Aid training where required.
Provide proof of identity and Right to Work documentation.
Provide an overseas criminal record check if applicable (where required by safeguarding guidance).
Hold Public Liability Insurance (or obtain appropriate cover before delivering sessions).
