Candoco is making a new podcast series called “Making Space”. Is a podcast about disability and dance. This opportunity is created for artists or creative professionals who identify as D/deaf, disabled, or neurodivergent. This role is how we tackle underrepresentation in the dance industry.

Job Description

Candoco is making a new podcast series called “Making Space”. It will be about disability and dance. The podcast will have honest conversations about what dance is, who gets to make it, and what needs to change in the industry.
The role:
We are looking for a host who will be an artistic partner, not just a presenter.
You will work closely with our team to:
Help choose themes and topics for the episodes.
Find and contact guest artists.
Plan the questions for each conversation.
Host conversations between two artists for each episode.
Record 10 episodes in total (two series of five episodes each) and launch them by Autumn 2026.
You will work with Candoco Fellow and Access and Equity Lead throughout the series.

This opportunity is created for artists or creative professionals who identify as D/deaf, disabled, or neurodivergent. This role is how we tackle underrepresentation in the dance industry.
We want to hire someone who:
Is curious about dance and disability.
Is a good listener who can have deep, thoughtful conversations.
Can work well with a team and take creative direction.
Does not need to be a professional broadcaster, but should have an interest in how to build a series of stories.
