Job Description
You will provide high-quality technical support to the Art and Design department, ensuring that studios, equipment and resources are consistently prepared, maintained and operated safely.
A key aspect of the role is overseeing Health and Safety, ensuring all equipment, materials and working practices meet required standards, and that studios remain safe, compliant and well managed.
You will work closely alongside another Art and Design Technician, contributing to a coordinated and efficient technical service across the department.
This is a fixed term, part-time role (0.3 FTE – approximately 1.5 days per week), requiring flexibility, including some evening and weekend work to support classes, exhibitions and college events.
Job Requirements
– Experience working with art, design workshop equipment and studio environments
– Good understanding of Health & Safety in a workshop or studio setting
– Strong organisational skills and ability to manage resources effectively
– Confident communication and teamworking skills
– Competent IT skills (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel)
