Job Summary

Provide technical support across Performing Arts by maintaining teaching spaces and equipment, supporting lessons, assessments and events, ensuring health and safety compliance, and collaborating across departments to resolve issues and enhance student learning.

Job Description

Daily Operational Excellence: Ensure all designated teaching spaces are functional and set up to the requirements of the strands
Curriculum Support: Provide dedicated technical assistance to performing arts strands supporting day-to-day practical lessons and formal assessments .
Technical Continuity: Manage and oversee the technical requirements for performance events that occur outside the main production calendar.
Health, Safety & Maintenance: Ensure all technical resources remain in peak condition and comply with current health & safety standards.
Departmental Collaboration: Work as a flexible technical bridge between the various Performing Arts disciplines, troubleshooting issues in real-time to minimise downtime and maximise student creativity.

Job Responsibilities

Provide technical support across the Performing Arts department by ensuring teaching and rehearsal spaces are prepared and fully operational, coordinating resources, and supporting curriculum delivery, assessments, and performances. Maintain equipment, undertake PAT testing, manage video recording and playback requirements, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards. Support evening performances and whole-school events, participate in departmental meetings and training, and contribute to the effective operation of the department through collaborative working, safeguarding responsibilities, and undertaking additional duties as required.
