We’re creating new roles and opportunities at the Octagon as we reshape our team to match our ambitions. This new role will lead and deliver our activities with, for and by Children and Families.

Job Description

You will lead on the delivery of our diverse programme of theatre engagmenet activities, with a particular focus on work for, by and with Children and Families.

Job Requirements

* Experience of directing community theatre, and work with, by and for Children and Families.
* Experience working in arts participation, with a proven track record of facilitating high quality participatory work.
* Experience of working with a range of ages and needs in a variety of participatory settings.
* Self-reliant with the ability to work on own initiative.
* Excellent team-working and collaborative skills.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to problem-solve, apply creative solutions and be resourceful.
* Demonstrable commitment to inclusion and diversity.
* Willingness to work on different projects within the department.
* Knowledge of best practice in arts engagement.
* A good working knowledge of safeguarding practice and procedures.
