Art UK
Job Summary
Job Description
About Art UK
Art UK is an art education charity and the online home for every public collection of art in the United Kingdom. It is making the UK’s national collection of art accessible to everyone online – for enjoyment, learning and research. Art UK brings together art from almost 3,500 British institutions in one of the UK’s largest ever arts partnerships.
About You
As Digital Content Editor – Wales, you will lead on the creation of powerful, inclusive content that highlights the richness and diversity of Welsh art and collections. You’ll play a vital role in shaping Art UK’s editorial voice in Wales, working closely with freelance writers, artists, researchers, and content producers to bring new perspectives to our platform.
You are a skilled digital content editor with excellent judgement, strong writing skills, and an instinct for what makes a great story. You have a deep knowledge of art and are passionate about making it accessible to wider audiences. You care about reaching underrepresented voices and uncovering stories that deserve to be heard. The primary focus of this role will be on creating new written content relating to Wales, while also supporting the Director of Content to better surface, link and enhance existing content on the site.
You’ll be confident developing ideas and commissioning contributors, supporting aspiring writers through webinars, and working with Welsh partners and communities to create engaging and authentic content. You’re well organised, collaborative, and bring experience of working with diverse contributors across geographies and backgrounds.
