Job Summary

The General Manager and Senior Producer is a key leadership role supporting the company’s artistic vision by ensuring efficient operations, excellent governance, and sustainable growth.

Job Description

The General Manager is responsible for the effective administration, financial management, and operational delivery of Fio. Working closely with the Creative Director and Board, the role ensures strong organisational systems, smooth running of productions and projects, and robust planning that supports Fio’s mission and long-term resilience.

Job Requirements

Essential

A passion and knowledge of contemporary live theatre

Strong organisational and leadership skills.
Experience in arts administration, producing, and cultural management, specifically professional theatre.
Confident budget management and financial literacy.
Knowledge of the UK funding landscape.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Commitment to diversity, inclusion, and ethical working practices.

Desirable

Experience working in a small or grassroots arts organisation.
Understanding of community-engaged arts.
Fundraising experience with trusts, foundations, and statutory bodies.
HR management and policy development experience.
Knowledge of the theatre sector in Wales and/or the wider UK.
Knowledge of the Welsh Language or willingness to learn.
