Job Summary

The Marlowe Theatre is seeking a Front of House Manager to develop and deliver an excellent and safe customer experience across all Front of House areas for visitors to the Marlowe Trust.

Job Description

We are recruiting a Front of House Manager with strong experience working within Front of House departments in the theatre, hospitality or visitor services industry. The Marlowe Theatre welcomed nearly 400,000 audience members to the theatre in 2025-2026, and our Front of House Manager is accountable for ensuring that a world-class customer service is delivered to all visitors of the Marlowe trust.

You will have excellent customer service and customer management skills, and a good Health and Safety ethos, as you will playing active role in the theatres fire, security and emergency action plans.

£41,529 per annum 37 hours per week

Job Requirements

Resilient with good Health and Safety ethos, and able to work consistently to a high standard in a fast-paced environment
Good knowledge of best practice in theatrical Front of House operation
Good knowledge of principles of customer service
Good knowledge of relevant Health and Safety legislation
and regulations in particular security preparedness measures,
fire safety procedures, premises licensing, food safety and
hygiene, and allergen awareness.
Excellent customer service and customer management skills
