We’re looking for friendly, energetic Game Hosts to join our team at Boom Lab: an explosive group gaming experience in Shoreditch.
Boom Lab is a new kind of escape room. Guests race through six interactive rooms, tackling a mix of physical and mental challenges as a team. Each space is designed to test both mind and body, creating a high-energy, memorable experience.
Pay: £14 per hour. The hours are mainly weekends and evenings with some weekdays during peak times.15-20 hours per week.
The Role:
As a Game Host, you’ll be the face of Boom Lab – welcoming guests, setting the tone for their experience, and ensuring every group has an unforgettable time. You’ll guide players through the experience, keep sessions running smoothly, and help maintain the quality and flow of the games.
Please note: this is a freelance position so you will need to be registered as self employed.
Job Requirements
– Previous experience in a customer-facing or front-of-house role
– Confident communicator with a friendly, outgoing personality
– Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage groups of all ages
– A proactive, can-do attitude with a willingness to take initiative
– Ability to stay calm and organised in a fast-paced environment
– Reliable, punctual, and professional in approach to work
– Comfortable learning and handling basic technical systems and equipment
– Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
– Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
