Witness for the Prosecution are looking for a London-based Assistant Director to support Matt Hassall (Associate Director) on the recast of Lucy Bailey’s Olivier nominated production.

FEE
Audition, Rehearsal and Preview Fee: £2,750 (totalling 210 hours over 6 weeks – 4 days per week in auditions and 5.5 days per week in rehearsals)
Weekly Retainer from w/c 21st September 2026: £300 (3 – 10 hours per week)
Please note that the venue at London County Hall has a number of stairs which will need to be used to move between areas of work.
Job Requirements
WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Previous experience of supporting a director in a resident or assistant director role.
Experience working with 1st and 2nd covers is desirable.
Candidates who can be flexible and work well as part of a team.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Solution-focused candidates who work calmly under pressure.
