Job Summary

We are seeking a committed Outreach and Impact Officer, to help grow our participation and deepen our connections with young people and partners across Manchester.

Job Description

Contract Type: PAYE 12-month fixed term
Working Hours: 3 days a week in office/in community (9am-5pm)
Salary: £28,000 (£16,800 pro-rata)
Start Date: Monday, 11th May 2026

You will play a key role in recruiting and retaining young participants for our weekly creative workshops and in galvanising support for Young Identity’s work through active partnerships with schools, organisations, arts institutions and support services. You will represent Young Identity at external meetings and events, building trust and increasing visibility.

This role requires flexibility, including some evenings and occasional weekends to account for events and workshops, to ensure our programmes are making a measurable impact in the community.

Job Requirements

– Proficient in email, Google Workspace and CRM systems, with strong attention to data accuracy
– Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to engage, motivate, and build trust with young people and partners
– Skilled at developing and maintaining partnerships with schools, community organisations and creative practitioners
– Proven experience in youth outreach, engagement or arts participation
– Confident in representing the organisation at events, meetings and professional spaces
– Strong understanding of inclusion, accessibility and equity, with experience supporting individuals with protected characteristics and underserved communities
– Skilled in audience engagement and data collection using QR codes, surveys and other feedback tools
– Highly organised and self-motivated, able to manage workload and meet deadlines
– Full Driving licence (required to access and attend city meetings, workshops and events)
