Fine Art Tutor

Community Focus Inclusive Arts is a disabled-led creative organisation based in Friary Park, Barnet. For almost fifty years, we have championed creativity as a tool for confidence, connection and wellbeing, supporting disabled and neurodivergent people to build skills, agency and community.

We are recruiting a freelance Fine Arts (Advanced) Tutor to join our In-House Programme, taking over one of our most popular and long-running classes. This is a small-group session for up to eight adult participants who are ready to develop their practice beyond the basics, and who deserve a tutor who takes their work seriously.

You will bring genuine expertise in fine art alongside the skill to adapt your teaching to the pace and needs of each learner. Sessions are designed to be ambitious and responsive, offering students the space to grow as artists while receiving focused, meaningful support. Our participants may have been making art for years, including with Community Focus, and this role calls for someone who can hold both rigour and flexibility at once.

You will work closely with our Public Programmes Manager and play a key role in shaping the welcoming, creative environment that makes Community Focus what it is.

The role is freelance and sessional, running term-time across three 11-week terms a year, with the possibility of additional summer sessions by mutual agreement. Sessions run on Wednesdays, 2pm to 4pm, at Friary House, Friary Park, London N20.Rate: £90 per session (covering 2 hours delivery and 1 hour preparation).
