Finance Manager

Working closely with the CEO and senior colleagues, the role promotes a strong financial culture and cross-team collaboration to effectively plan for Dance Base’s long-term resilience in a challenging business environment. Contract type: part time/permanent Hours: 21 hours per week Salary: £40,000 Pro Rata The Finance Manager will be responsible for: Financial strategy, planning and analysis Management reporting and governance Fund accounting and funder reporting Financial controls, policies and compliance Cash management Systems, processes and improvements Essential criteria: Qualifications and knowledge Strong understanding of charity finance including restricted/unrestricted funds. Knowledge of charity and public fund reporting requirements. Understanding of financial controls, risk management and compliance. Experience Previously held a finance management role (or is ready to take on a management position), ideally in a charity or not-for-profit. Preparing management accounts, budgets and forecasts. With the CEO and Finance Committee, presenting to senior leaders or Boards. Preparation of documentation for, and overseeing year-end audit with external auditors. Skills and competencies Strong analytical and financial modelling skills. Good working knowledge of Xero accounting software. High attention to detail and accuracy.
