The Role
You will support participants to communicate ideas, make creative choices, and take part in group and one-to-one sessions. You’ll work with arts facilitators and project leads to deliver activities safely and in line with agreed plans.
We are looking for someone with:
- Experience in community drama and/or arts.
- A good level of IT skills.
- Experience working with people with a learning disability and/or autistic people.
- Teamworking, planning, and communication skills.
- Enthusiasm, energy, and a commitment to our mission.
Person Specification
Essential
- Experience working in community drama and/or community arts.
- Good level of IT skills.
- Experience of working with people with a learning disability and/or autistic people.
- Ability to work as a member of a team, including joint planning, delivery and evaluation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Enthusiasm and energy.
Desirable
- A good level of skill in applied drama techniques and creative facilitation.
- A degree-level qualification in Applied Theatre, Performing Arts, or equivalent.
- Experience of other participatory art forms (e.g., music, dance, creative writing, DJing).
Hours: Sessional on an ad hoc basis
Session Timings: Varies depending on the session, typically 9:45 am-3:45 pm, primarily Monday-Friday.
Location: Varies depending on the session and includes Newcastle, North Tyneside, Northumberland, South Tyneside, and Washington.
Rate: £15.54 per hour
