Job Description
As a key member of Shoreditch Town Hall’s technical team, supports the technical delivery of live events, performances, rehearsals and hires across Shoreditch Town Hall. The role is hands on and varied, covering lighting, sound, staging and general technical support while maintaining high standards of safety, presentation and professionalism. You will work closely with visiting companies, artists and internal teams to ensure events run smoothly and safely.
Over time the emphasis of this job may change without altering the general character of the role or the level of duties and responsibilities entailed. This information will be periodically reviewed, revised and updated in consultation with the post-holder to reflect appropriate changes.
Job Requirements
Production & Technical Operations
Support get ins, get outs, rehearsals and live events across all spaces.
Operate and assist with lighting, sound and basic AV systems as required.
Assist visiting technicians and companies with venue systems and layouts.
Carry out safe rigging practice under supervision where required.
Maintain technical equipment, storage areas and workspaces.
Follow all venue policies including health and safety.
Report faults, damage or safety concerns to the Head of Production promptly.
Assist with room resets, seating layouts and staging configurations.
Represent the venue professionally when dealing with clients, artists and audiences.
Support the wide Shoreditch Town Hall core team with first line technical needs.
Health & Safety
Work in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act and venue procedures.
Comply with working at height, electrical safety and manual handling regulations.
Always use PPE and equipment correctly.
