Job Summary

Volunteers needed for Remembering Yesterday, Caring Today (RYCT), a creative reminiscence programme for people living with dementia and their carers. The programme will be taking place in Greenwich this March. Training, support and expenses will be covered.

Job Description

A) Training

Venue: University of Greenwich Drama Building, Bathway, Woolwich, London SE18 6QX

Dates: Thursday 5th and Friday 6th March 2026

Time: 9:30 – 17:00 on both days. A light lunch will be served.

This experiential two-day course will be led by highly skilled reminiscence arts practitioners and trainers, with valuable contributions from volunteers and former carers.

B) Volunteering

Venue: Mycenae House, 90 Mycenae Rd, London SE3 7SE

Dates: Wednesdays from 11th March 2026

Time: 13:30 – 16:30

The volunteering will involve attending, observing and participating in at least 3 out of 8 weekly group sessions of the Remembering Yesterday, Caring Today (RYCT) programme.

The programme supports local people living with dementia and their family carers in a welcoming and creative group setting.

Following the initial 8-week programme, there will be fortnightly and monthly sessions. Volunteer support during these would also be greatly appreciated.
