Job Description

The Landmark Arts Centre is seeking an experienced Creative Learning Manager to lead and develop its thriving creative learning programme during a maternity cover period of up to 12 months. Based in our Grade II* listed arts centre in SW London, this role offers the opportunity to step into an established and growing programme, delivering inclusive, high-quality creative learning opportunities for adults, families, young people, schools, and community groups.

Reporting to the Director, the Creative Learning Manager will oversee programme delivery, outreach and partnerships, freelance tutor management, budgeting, and marketing support, while line-managing the Creative Learning Assistant. The role is available on a full-time or part-time basis, with flexible working patterns considered, and includes occasional evening and weekend work.

This position is ideal for a confident creative learning professional with strong programme management experience who is passionate about accessibility, community engagement, and the power of the arts to inspire and connect people.

Job Requirements

  • Educated to degree level or at least two years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Strong project management experience, particularly in timetabling, scheduling, and delivering arts and educational programmes.
  • A background in Creative Learning will help, with experience working with young people and running creative workshops in educational or community settings.
  • Relevant post-graduate qualification.
  • Experience developing and managing educational or community arts programmes.
  • Financial literacy, with experience managing budgets.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Job Responsibilities

Programming

  • Deliver an inclusive programme of creative learning events, courses, and workshops for adults, families, and community groups.
  • Develop initiatives engaging underrepresented participants.
  • Lead large-scale events and family workshops aligned with the Landmark’s mission.
  • Create new classes and recruit freelance tutors.
  • Plan programming to complement the staged event season with the Director.

Outreach

  • Build partnerships with local organisations, schools, and community groups.
  • Develop and manage outreach and pilot projects.
  • Line-manage the Creative Learning Assistant.

Management & Administration

  • Recruit and manage freelance tutors and project staff.
  • Manage budgets, resources, contracts, risk assessments, and funding bids.
  • Liaise with tutors, prepare spaces, and evaluate programme outcomes.

Marketing & Communication

  • Promote programmes and maintain attendance and participation databases.

Pastoral Care

  • Handle public enquiries with clear communication.
