MUSIC ASSISTANT

Trevor-Roberts School is seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic music assistant. We are looking for someone with good piano sight reading ability and a background in singing and piano playing, to provide musical and administrative assistance to the Director of Music at the school and to support the delivery of the music curriculum across the school.

Music plays a central role in the day to day life of the school.

The school’s three choirs regularly perform both in and out of school and the senior choir toured Tuscany in March 2023 and Barcelona in March 2025. A trip to Vienna is planned for March 2027.

There are also a wide range of instrumental groups at the school and a strong team of peripatetic music teaching staff, with most children at the school learning a musical instrument. The successful applicant will assist with the organisation of the individual music lessons.

Each form at the school also puts on a musical production for the parents twice a year and the successful candidate will play an important role with these.

The position offers a salary range of between £32,000 and £36,000 p.a. p.a.and 13 weeks paid holiday a year. The successful candidate would ideally start on 20th April 2026 but there is some flexibility.
