The role…
We are currently recruiting for a multi-skilled Technician at The London Palladium. In this exciting and varied role, you will deliver a programme of Live Music, the World’s leading comedy talent, Prime Time television shows and our legendary Summer Musical and Pantomime seasons.
What you’ll be doing…
- Reporting to the Technical Heads of Department, you will:
- Assist on get ins and fit ups of concerts and resident productions, leading casual and fixed-term employees to achieve required outcomes in relation to that project.
- Facilitate all technical aspects of putting on a show at the London Palladium, be that television, rock and roll, comedy, or musicals.
- Programme and operate (when required) for events on the main stage.
- Act as the ‘Duty Technician’ as schedules require.
- Assist on rigging and derigging of set, sound, lighting, and AV equipment.
- Work closely with visiting productions and companies to ensure the smooth and safe operation of each show and event.
- Work as part of a team to maintain a professional work environment where performers, audience and technicians are safe.
- Solve problems, particularly in a live performance environment.
- Assist the Venue Technicians in the maintenance of the theatre.
- Assist on project work throughout the theatre, alongside the Venue Technician team.
What we need from you…
- Experience fitting up and get out of concert, TV or touring productions.
- Happy to work unsociable hours.
- Professional and proactive manner with impeccable timekeeping.
- Logical and methodical including the ability to follow instruction precisely.
- Adaptable with the ability to use initiative.
- Technical theatre experience from another West End theatre, number one touring theatre or music venue.
- Familiarity with the ABTT Technical Standards for Places of Entertainment.

Salary: £50,543 pro rata
