Job Description
We are currently recruiting for a Senior Technician at The London Palladium. In this exciting and varied role, you will deliver a programme of Live Music, the World’s leading comedy talent, Prime Time television shows and our legendary Musical and Pantomime seasons.
What you’ll be doing…
- Reporting to the Head of Electrics and working alongside the Stage Department, you will:
- Lead on get ins and fit ups of concerts and resident productions.
- Facilitate all technical aspects of putting on a show at the London Palladium, be that television, rock and roll, comedy or musicals.
- Assist the Venue Technicians in the maintenance of the theatre.
- Lead on rigging and derigging of sound, lighting and AV.
- Work closely with visiting productions and companies to ensure the smooth and safe operation of each show and
- Problem solving, particularly in a live performance environment.
- Lead on project work around the venue, working alongside the Venue Technicians
What we need…
- Experience of fitting up and get out of concert, TV or touring productions.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Experience of working as part of a technical team.
- Can adapt to changing circumstances and overcome challenges.
- Happy to work unsociable hours.
- Professional and proactive manner with impeccable timekeeping.
- Logical and methodical including the ability to follow instruction precisely.
- Adaptable with the ability to use initiative.
- Basic working knowledge of networking for live events (Luminex, GrandMA 2&3, ETC).
- Understanding of counterweight flying systems.
- Technical theatre experience from another West End theatre, number one touring theatre or music venue.
- Familiarity with the ABTT Technical Standards for Places of Entertainment.
- Previous experience of leading, motivating and instructing a team.
Salary: £ 55,397.00
