Job Summary
The Production Exchange is looking for someone to develop their skills in order to be able to manage and develop our growing roster of actors. This role will be pivotal in building opportunities for talent, negotiating contracts, and fostering key relationships within theatre, film, television, and other entertainment industries.
You will work alongside a small, dedicated team and play an active role in shaping the future of our agency, ensuring that our roster of performers is superbly supported.
After a reasonable period of working closely with one of our Senior Agents, you will assume responsibility for the client list. At this point, they will step back from day-to-day agency work to focus on production and other creative projects. Thus we are looking for an Assistant or Junior Agent ready to progress into a Senior Agent role.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop close and productive relationships with our client actors in order to help them progress their careers in the industry
- Develop close and productive relationships with casting directors, directors, producers and others who work across all entertainment and arts media.
- Submit artists whom we represent for work opportunities as they arise and supporting them so that they can show themselves in the best light possible.
- Negotiate contracts and fees on behalf of clients to ensure fair and beneficial agreements.
- Ensure all contractual agreements meet legal, ethical, and industry standards. Actively promote client work across press, broadcast media, social media, and industry networks.
- Support clients in building their industry profile and public presence.
- Work closely with existing staff and the Board to enhance the agency’s reputation.
- Contribute to business development strategies, helping to grow the agency’s presence.
