Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Music Department Lead to oversee the development, delivery, and growth of our music programs. The ideal candidate will bring both artistic and academic expertise, with a clear vision to expand the department and enrich our participants’ musical education.
Job Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Music, Music Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Proven experience teaching and/or managing music programs.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively with students of diverse backgrounds and skill levels.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Understanding of safeguarding principles and commitment to maintaining a safe learning environment.
Willingness to relocate to Kuwait.
Desirable Attributes
Understanding of Arabic culture, particularly its musical traditions.
Arabic language proficiency (preferred but not required).
Compensation & Benefits
Annual salary: 600-1,100 Kuwaiti Dinars (depending on experience and contributions to the department).

Job Responsibilities
Lead and manage the Music Department, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning experiences.
Design, implement, and evaluate music curricula and programs aligned with LAPA’s mission.
Mentor and support music faculty, fostering a collaborative and inspiring environment.
Organize student performances, workshops, and community engagement projects.
Develop partnerships with local and international music institutions.
Provide strategic input to strengthen the department’s artistic and academic reputation.
Contribute to the recruitment and retention of students, ensuring program growth and sustainability.
Monitor the department’s budget and assist in writing proposals to secure funding.
Serve as the lead facilitator for LAPA-organized camps throughout the year.
Collaborate closely with LAPA’s Drama and Dance Departments to produce the annual theatre production.
Build connections between LAPA and diverse communities.
Engage local talent in LAPA’s music activities and initiatives.
