About Us
Art Camp UK blends art, play and outdoor adventure in a safe, inspiring environment. We run Ofsted-registered holiday camps for children aged 6-11, with hands-on workshops, imaginative play and collaborative projects.
The Role
We’re seeking an experienced Resident Artist (Creative Lead) for school holiday periods. This role combines creativity, leadership and safeguarding.
You’ll design and deliver a week-long programme of daily art activities – from painting, sculpture and mixed media to outdoor art and large collaborative pieces keeping children excited and creatively challenged.
Alongside teaching, you’ll work with the Camp Manager and Director to oversee the smooth running of camp: contributing to daily briefings, maintaining a safe, inclusive environment and supporting safeguarding standards.
About You

Professional artist or qualified art educator with experience with ages 6-11

Confident across painting, sculpture, crafts and outdoor projects

Skilled in planning structured, age-appropriate sessions

Calm, positive leader who can inspire staff and children

Good understanding of safeguarding, EYFS or Ofsted standards

Experience leading or co-managing teams in creative/educational settings

Reliable, organised and a strong communicator

Job Requirements
We are seeking enthusiastic, reliable, and creative individuals who are passionate about working with children and supporting high-quality arts, play, and enrichment activities. Applicants must demonstrate strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to build warm, trusting relationships with children aged 6-11. You should be confident leading groups, managing behaviour positively, and maintaining a safe, inclusive environment at all times. Applicants must be proactive, organised, and able to follow safeguarding, health and safety, and behaviour policies consistently. Previous experience in childcare, teaching, coaching, arts, or youth work is desirable but not essential; full training is provided. A commitment to professionalism, punctuality, and teamwork is essential. Successful candidates will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and must be eligible to work in the UK.
