Immersive Actor – Christmas Postman – Portsmouth

Salary: £18.00/hour

Start Date: Late November (tbc)

Contract Type: Between 24 – 48 hours per week

We are Immersive Octopus and we’ve just launched our Christmasville site in Gunwharf Quays in Portsmouth.

We’re looking for an actor with great improv skills and an ability to stay in character over long periods to play our Christmas Postman.

This character will be working in our bars and activities area, supervising the Father Christmas letter writing station, where children will collect blank letters and stationary, write their letters to Father Christmas, then the Christmas Postman will help them post them into the Christmas Postbox, so that they are safely shipped off to Santa.

The character will need to embody all of the joy of Christmas, have infectious enthusiasm for harnessing these children’s dreams and a kind an gentle manner.

The experience runs Wednesday – Sunday most weeks, with the shift length being 9.5 hours a day.

The role would start towards the end of November (exact date tbc) and run until December 24th.
