Job Description
We are seeking two dynamic and passionate Deputy Managers to join our team. These part-time roles are ideal for individuals with a love for theatre, strong leadership skills, and a hands-on approach to venue management.
You’ll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the theatre, ensuring smooth operations, excellent customer service, and a safe, enjoyable experience for patrons and performers alike.
Key Responsibilities
- Duty-manage the theatre during performances or events and assist volunteers in customer facing operations including Bar, Box Office and Front of House.
- Manage either Bar or Box Office. Lead, support, train and co-ordinate volunteer teams.
- Manage the office and fulfil admin tasks outside of showtimes.
- Take lead on customer service handling queries, complaints, and feedback.
- Help ensure health & safety compliance ensuring controls and safe practices followed.
Hours per day will differ depending on whether it is a show day or dark (non-show) day.
Each Deputy works set agreed days each week. Both Deputies work a shift on a Saturday show day
By default, the number of hours per week will be approximately
Role 1
Dark Weeks – Approx 18hrs over 3 days.
Show Weeks – Approx 34 hours over 4 days.
Approx 0.66 FTE
Role 2
Dark Weeks – Approx 15hrs over 3 days.
Show Weeks – Approx 25 hours over 3 days.
Approx FTE 0.41
As an approximate guide, this year we have 28.5 show weeks and 23.5 dark weeks.
Pay
£14.20 Per hour
