Character Age: 16 (Actor must be aged over 18)

Dates Required – Monday Jan 19th to Friday Jan 23rd 2026 (10am-6pm daily) (5 days in total)

Location – Central Manchester

Fee: Equity minimum plus holiday pay (£677 in total)

Looking for a versatile and confident actor to join writer/director, Emma Hill, and music producer, Owly Beats, for a new material for a forthcoming musical show, Baby Girl.

The show is an adaptation of the award-winning young adult novel, Baby Girl (by Emma Hill) and is told entirely through the eyes of Missie – a teen parent, who is also an MC and who writes and performs songs to her daughter’s nursery rhymes playlist.

The actor should be:
Confident performing alone on stage
Competent with rhyme & blank verse
Able to perform lyrics to a beat (Grime MC-style)
Able to sing in tune to nursery rhyme melodies
Comfortable working with new material
