Job Description
Bussing Out is a multi-media immersive installation that animates oral histories through binaural sound and animation. Guaranteed hours are 2 or 3 days per week over 2 weeks or 6 half days . £250 per day based on an 8 hour day.
Key Responsibilities
Effectively invigilate and steward the Bussing Out exhibition, setting up / resetting the installation to ensure all visitors experience a professional, well-run, and impactful installation
Plan and deliver simple, drop-in creative workshops linked to the exhibition’s themes and content, which visitors to the installation can take part in
Ensure workshops are welcoming, accessible, and inclusive.
Collaborate with the Bussing Out Tour Producer and wider Bussing Out project team to integrate oral histories into the overall heritage experience. The wider project team will provide workshops to the public in oral history collection. The workshop facilitators will receive training in this and be able to support this work when the wider project team are not on site.
Support evaluation and documentation processes.
Job Requirements
Essential Experience & Skills
Experience designing and delivering workshops, particularly within community, heritage, or cultural contexts.
Familiarity with working alongside archives and heritage collections.
Experience engaging with diverse and underrepresented communities.
Excellent facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in central Rotherham during the exhibition opening period
