Engagement and Access Manager

The Met is seeking a passionate and experienced Engagement and Access Manager to lead our dynamic engagement and access programme.

This is a pivotal role within our organisation, ideal for someone who believes in the transformative power of the arts and is committed to making culture accessible to all.

As a key member of our team, you will:

• Lead the engagement and access programme and department: ensuring the successful planning and delivery of a range of projects in line with The Met’s Business Plan and funding requirements.
• Collaborate with the Chief Executive and Artistic Programme Manager to shape The Met’s plans and creative output including championing community engagement and advocating for co-construction.
• Inspire the whole staff team, board and stakeholders to understand the value of cultural engagement and participation through participation in networks, preparation of reports and sharing impact.
• Collaborate with partners to initiate and implement ambitious programmes that increase engagement in culture and the arts in Bury.

You will oversee a thriving programme of in-house workshops for all ages, manage key relationships with the health, education, housing, sports and voluntary sector, and take part in audience development initiatives. You will also be responsible for The Met’s accessibility and EDI strategy, ensuring inclusive practices are embedded across the organisation.
