Job Summary

Dance Teacher/Choreographer with Early Years/Junior specialty

Job Description

SLYT has an opening for a new Dance Teacher with the ability to teach / lead Early Years Performing Arts classes as well.

Dance is delivered across the board at all of our musical theatre classes. The right candidate will have an excellent training / foundation in dance and the ability to create and deliver choreography for weekly classes and for annual productions which are performed in theatres across London.

The classes are held on Wednesday evenings from 4.00-7.00pm, but there is potential for growth with SLYT within this role.

The ideal candidate would be pursuing or building a career in teaching.

PLEASE NOTE: Salary is pro-rata and this role pays between £25-£30 per hour, depending on experience. 3 hours per week, 12 weeks per term, 3 terms a year.

Job Requirements

To deliver weekly classes to 1 Early Years group (Reception to Year 2) including movement/dance and to 2 Junior Musical Theatre groups (Year 3 – Year 6).

To work towards annual theatre productions providing excellent choreography in the musical theatre style.
