– Full time, permanent contract

– Salary: £27,000 per annum

– Hours: mix of 7:45am – 4pm and 10:30am – 6:45pm

– Office based, Central London

The ideal candidate will be proactive, well-presented and, as a first point of contact, take pride in creating a positive first impression.

  • Share the provision of a professional, friendly welcome on reception
  • Act as point of contact for all post and logistics related matters – such as managing courier despatch, internal storage and stock, emails, in and outgoing mail, telephone and helpdesk
  • Move furniture, deliveries and equipment around the office, as requested; arranging set up of meetings and communal areas for author and staff events.
  • Participate as a member of the Internal Events team
  • Carry out building and meeting room checks daily, ensuring any issues are dealt with promptly and efficiently and reported to the Office Manager.
  • Ensure that the corridors, communal areas, and fire exits are clear of rubbish, including the front area of the building and generally help to maintain a high standard of tidiness around the office.
  • Ensure that the reception is clean, safe presentable at all times and stocked with promotional material.
  • Assist the Office Manager with administrative tasks when required.

Job Requirements

  • Experience of a similar role
  • Experience in a customer-facing/service role, preferably in an office environment
  • An excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Reasonable physical strength and dexterity, as you will sometimes need to lift or load heavy packages and operate trolleys.
  • Organised and consistently reliable, capable of calmly sustaining your workload to a very high standard.
  • Collaborative team player with a flexible, open-minded approach and the ability to adapt to changing priorities
  • Highly focused, self-motivated and enthusiastic.
